About
Andrea Ramirez Armada is a British_Venezuelan director, writer and senior creative based in London and raised between the USA and Venezuela. Shortly after graduating from Met Film School London, she started to gain attention for her dreamy and stylish films. Her comedy style is unique and pulls from a plethora of Latin-American, North American and European references and experiences, capturing real-life moments with authenticity and absurdity, making her point of view new and exciting.
Andrea has directed commercials for a variety of international clients which include Sky, HBO, Sony Pictures, NBC Universal, Viaplay, Eurosport, Premiere League, E! Entertainment Television. In 2020 she won Gold at Promax Europe and most recently she's been nominated for Global Promax in the upcoming 2021 awards.
She's currently working on her first feature, an original story she's co-written with Francisco De Sousa.

Promax Awards Europe
Andrea Ramirez Armada won this award for her original idea, Bestie Break, which she wrote and directed. She was awarded a Gold statuette for Best Kid's commercial in Europe.
Promax Awards Europe 2022
Andrea is nominated for a European Promax Award under the category, Best Commercial Without Content, for her spooky Deadly British Drama, which she directed and was Senior Creative on.
D&AD & Promax and Other Awards
Andrea has been nominated for various awards in recent years, most noticeably, a Global Excellence Promax for Big Thick Movies, D&AD pencil for her work on the Premier League rebrand with Dixon Baxi, both her recent short films Unlikely Monsters and The Phoenix Method nominated for best lockdown film at DMO Film Festival and various Liftoff festivals.
